How do I enter the competition?

What happens after I send in my entry?

After we receive your entry we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt. The closing date for entering the Young Creative Awards 2020 is Monday 27th of April 2020. Judging will take place shortly after the closing date.

We announce the winners at the Young Creative Awards 2020, taking place at a series of events during the week commencing 18 May 2020 at Metronome. Entrants who are shortlisted will receive a special invitation. The lucky winners will be announced at the events.

Where will the awards be held?

The Young Creative Awards 2020 will take place at Metronome on Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May 2020. Watch out for details of the ticketing arrangements, it will be a fantastic week of events and not to be missed.

Can I enter more than one piece of work per category?

You can only enter one piece of work per category, so make sure it is your best piece and complete the application form, detailing how it meets the brief.

Can I enter more than one category?

You can enter as many categories as you wish but can only submit one entry per category. You will need a separate application form with each entry in the different categories.

What age do I need to be to enter?

You will need to be aged between 11 and 24 by the closing date for entries to enter the competition, which for 2020 is Monday 27th of April 2020.

If you are aged between 11 and 16 years old when the competition closes, you need to get approval from a parent, guardian, teacher or responsible adult to sign your form. If you are a group including any 11-16 year olds, the same applies.

Can I enter if I live outside of the city?

The awards are open to all young creative people who live, study or work in Nottingham, so you may live outside the city, but as long as you attend a school, college or university within the city, or work in Nottingham, you may still enter. The boundary of Nottingham is defined by the urban area of Nottingham, please see map for clarification.

How can I get involved further in the Young Creative Awards?

We are always looking for help with promoting the Young Creative Awards, so if you have a large network of young people who may want to enter the awards then please let us know and we will supply the information for you to send on to them.

Alternatively you may wish to offer mentoring opportunities or work experience, or to supply a prize for a winner, again please do contact us.

If you wish to sponsor the awards, help out with providing exhibition space etc., then we would love to hear from you.
