Rebecca Constable won the Creative Writing category at last year’s Awards and was also overall winner of the Young Creative of the Year 2016.
Her winning creative writing piece is an inspirational story about her struggle to overcome the problems of dyslexia, to accept herself as Dyslexic and proud and to achieve the goal of a place at university. She wrote the piece with the hope that her short story can help raise awareness of what dyslexia is, and the personal impact teachers and students have on their pupils and classmates.
In a recent update to Rebecca’s journey since winning the award we are delighted to report that she has recently been accepted onto the rosta of authors for Dayglo Books Ltd., a specialist publisher of books for people with Dyslexia.
Her first novel, Impact, will be printed on Dyslexia friendly dayglo paper in five different colours. Watch out for more information about the launch of her book in the spring.
