TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The Young Creative Awards (YCA) competition is organised by Young Creatives Nottingham CIC, charity registration number 1168804, registered office is C/O One Nottingham, Nottingham City Council, Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG.
  2. Employees of and trustees of the Young Creatives Nottingham, or their close family members are not permitted to enter the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via youngcreativeawards.org.uk.
  5. Entrants must live, study, or work in Nottingham.
  6. Closing date for entry will be 23rd March 2018. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. Entries are submitted at the entrants own risk – the organiser can accept no responsibility for the safe return of entries, however care will be taken when they are in the possession of the YCA. Entrants can be assured that physical entries will be returned to the entrants shortly after the YCA event in May 2018.
  9. The YCA may request permission to retain any physical entries for use in subsequent events and exhibitions for the promotion of the YCA.
  10. The rules of the competition and the examples of type of prizes for each winner can be found on the website under the Prizes and Entry Criteria pages.
  11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice if circumstances, such as political, civil or social crisis or natural event, takes place outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  12. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  13. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of approximately equivalent value without giving notice.
  14. Entrants can submit work into as many categories as they like but it must meet the individual criteria of each category.
  15. Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the trustees. The panel’s decisions will be final.
  16. Those shortlisted to receive an award will be notified by email and/or letter within 5 weeks of the closing date for entries to the competition.
  17. The promoter will notify the winners when and where the prizes can be collected.
  18. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final. There will be no obligation on YCN to enter into correspondence with the entrants, their family or representatives.
  19. Entrants agree to the possible use of their name, image and competition entry in any publicity material to promote the competition and award.
  20. Personal details provided by an entrant as part of his/her/their entry will be shared with the members of the judging panels.
  21. Any publication of personal detail will be in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. The entrant’s details relating to the competition will be shared with members of the judging panels.
  22. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  23. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, Facebook, Twitter or any other International or UK Social Network. You are providing your information to Young Creatives Nottingham and the Young Creative Awards and it’s partners in the Awards and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at http://www.youngcreativeawards.org/privacy-policy/
  24. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
