YCA 2014 – Fantastic Night at Awards

Fashion Designer Karolina Stebelska Crowned the Nottingham Young Creative of the Year 2014

In an exciting evening at the Royal Concert Hall, the Nottingham Young Creative of the Year 2014 was announced as Karolina Stebelska for her stunning and innovative dress design. Central College Nottingham student Karolina’s dress won her two awards on the evening as she had earlier won in the 16-18 year old fashion category. Karolina, 17 from Sneinton, was presented her award by Nottingham actress Rosamund Hanson.

Entertainment in the show was provided by Fraser Lowrie, who won the award for music in the 19 to 24 age group and by “Hello Tomorrow”, whose members won the music 16 to 18 award category. A stunning dance performance was provided by Dance4, whose dancers were the winners of the dance awards.

The evening was opened by a warm and witty personal film sent especially for the evening by Hetain Patel, the Nottingham choreographer and artist, who opens his London show at Sadlers Wells the following evening.

A fantastic show case of talent took place, in which Nottingham youngsters won awards in 10 areas of creativity.
