Young Creatives Nottingham (YCN) is a registered Charity that celebrates and nurtures the creative talents and skills of young people living in the Nottingham Urban Area.*
For over 15 years we have achieved this by running an annual awards event, the Young Creative Awards (YCA). Since YCN started, we have received over 5,500 entries and given out more than 400 awards. Winners receive cash prizes, showcase and promotion opportunities, plus mentoring, work placements and training.
In addition to the annual awards event, YCN facilitates a blend of educational and vocational activities including work placements, learning workshops, training and mentoring opportunities within creative industries. In doing so, we help to a creative network of local talent and build pathways into creative careers.
We stay in touch with many former YCA winners and finalists, and are proud of their successful creative careers, such as Liss Cooke at internationally-renowned embroidery company Hand and Lock. [LINK TO HALL OF FAME PAGE]
