Puppet Making with Nikki Charlesworth at Nonsuch Studios

Saturday 7 January, 2.30pm – 5.30pm. Using five found materials, make a puppet following demonstrations in crafting and manipulation. For 11-24 year-olds

In this creative, fun and interactive workshop, you will learn all about puppetry; including the different types and how they are made. You’ll make your own puppet out of found materials and learn how to bring them to life to tell stories. 

The workshop includes:

  • An overview of puppetry
  • A demonstration of Nikki’s puppets
  • Making a puppet out of five materials with advice and guidance from Nikki
  • Learning how to manipulate a puppet

About Nikki Charlesworth
Nikki Charlesworth is a theatre designer, puppet designer and recently turned animator residing in the East Midlands who works at the forefront of disability-led theatre making, contributing to ground-breaking new work within the sector. She is a Young Creative Awards 2017 Visual Arts category winner.

This workshop is free, booking is required

The workshop will take place up a flight of stairs.
