New Sponsor Announced!

Nottingham-based software company Serif have been announced as a key sponsor of this year’s Young Creative Awards, which is now open for entries. Serif is the team behind Affinity, a suite of professional creative applications for Mac, Windows and iPad which have been adopted by over two million users worldwide. The award-winning suite includes photo editing app Affinity Photo, graphic design app Affinity Designer and desktop publishing app Affinity Publisher, which was recently named Mac App of the Year 2019 by Apple.

Nottingham-based software company Serif have been announced as a key sponsor of this year’s Young Creative Awards, which is now open for entries.

The annual competition, now in its 12th year, shines a spotlight on the creativity of young people in Nottingham, with 11 creative categories covering everything from Film, Graphic Design and Music to Dance, Creative Writing and Photography.

The competition – run by registered charity Young Creatives Nottingham – is free to enter.  Hundreds of submissions from young people aged 11 to 24 are expected before the deadline on 23 March 2020. Winners gain unique industry experience and cash prizes.

This year, for the first time, the Young Creative Awards will be presented over a special week of events and exhibitions at Confetti’s state-of-the-art venue Metronome.  The Young Creatives Week will begin on Monday 18 May.

Past winners and alumni of the Young Creative Awards include successful musicians Rob Green and Philip George, LeftLion editor and NTU writer-in-residence Bridie Squires, acclaimed dancer Jamal Sterrett and published author Rebecca Constable.
