To enter the Young Creative Awards you must be between the ages of 11 and 24 years old at the closing date of the competition (27 APRIL 2020, 12 noon).

Please note, if you do not meet the entry criteria your entry will not be considered.
Within each category, there are 3 age bands – each category is judged in each of the age ranges to make it as fair as possible:
- 11 – 15 years old
- 16 – 18 years old
- 19 – 24 years old
You may enter as an individual, as a group, or as a class or study group, or club. If you are entering as a group, please let us know this on your application form and provide details of the main contact person.
You can enter in one or more of the 11 YCA categories, which are: ; Animation and Digital Media; Creative Writing; Dance; Design and Architecture; Fashion and Textiles; Film; Graphic Design; Music; Photography; Theatre and Visual Arts.
There isn’t a specific theme this year, but please check out the category descriptions above for any specific entry requirements.
In each age group and category, the panels will look for a winner, and entrants who are highly commended for the quality of the work submitted.
An overall winner across all the categories will be chosen and the winner announced as the Young Creative of the Year 2020 at the end of the awards week. The winner in each category will receive a cash prize, plus mentoring and other opportunities. The Young Creative of The Year will receive an additional cash prize.
All cash prizes will be received at the end of the awards week, which is taking place at Metronome at a date TBC (this has had to be rescheduled due to the coronavirus situation).
