Young Creatives Club: Making the Most of Every Opportunity
On Thursday 27 February (5pm – 8pm) we will be collaborating once again with The Big House and The Prince’s Trust for another Young Creatives’ Club at Blend. The Young Creatives’ Club is a space for younger creatives to to connect, network, hatch plans, collaborate, skill share, be curious, ask questions and discuss all things creative, digital, entrepreneurship, business, and beyond. If you are aged 16-25, this event is especially designed for you, although all ages are welcome.
New Sponsor Announced!
Nottingham-based software company Serif have been announced as a key sponsor of this year’s Young Creative Awards, which is now open for entries. Serif is the team behind Affinity, a suite of professional creative applications for Mac, Windows and iPad which have been adopted by over two million users worldwide. The award-winning suite includes photo editing app Affinity Photo, graphic design app Affinity Designer and desktop publishing app Affinity Publisher, which was recently named Mac App of the Year 2019 by Apple.
Chung-Lin’s Villa Nova work placement
22 year-old Chung-Lin Chen was the Young Creative Awards 2019 winner in the Fashion & Textiles category (19 – 24 age group). As part of her YCA prize, Chung-Lin had the opportunity to spend a week with the design team at Villa Nova, a division of the Romo Group. Founded in 1993, the Villa Nova studio specialise in creating modern, versatile fabrics, wallcoverings and accessories.
