The annual Young Creative Awards always gives a colourful snapshot of the issues and themes that are occupying the minds of Nottingham’s young creatives, and this year has been no different.
We have been SO impressed by the number of young people who have entered this year’s Young Creative Awards, and by the creativity of everyone’s entries. Nottingham is certainly home to a talented bunch of young creatives!
Lockdown Monologues is a brand new participatory project, launched by Young Creatives Nottingham and led by actor Cassie Bradley.
It gives us great pleasure to launch the brand new Young Creatives At Home programme. Young Creatives At Home is a series of specially commissioned online workshops, videos and creative activities produced by Young Creative Awards winners and associates, to generate and share positivity in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
Young people aged 11 to 24 in Nottingham are being encouraged to get creative at home during social isolation and enter their work into the annual Young Creative Awards. Nottingham actor Cassie Bradley – most recently seen in ITV drama McDonald and Dodds – urged young people to enter: “I’m so proud to be involved with this year’s Young Creative Awards celebrating the wealth of talent that Nottingham has to offer. I’d encourage all young people in Nottingham to put themselves forward as it’s an incredible opportunity to demonstrate their skills, build confidence and gain new experiences and contacts.
